Treatment Flow
Reception and Medical Questionnaire
Upon arrival, please present your insurance card to the receptionist. Once you have been accepted, you will be given a medical questionnaire to complete.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time and fill out the medical questionnaire.
If you forget your insurance card, you will be asked to pay 100% of the cost on the day of your visit and the difference will be refunded at your next appointment.
If you are currently being treated for another condition, please bring your medication book with you or write down the names of the medications you are taking. If you are pregnant or showing signs of pregnancy, please indicate this on the medical questionnaire.
Medical interview and consultation
First, we will interview the patient about his or her needs, desires, and symptoms. We will also give a brief explanation of the points to consider during treatment.
We thoroughly inform you of our treatment approach and process.
If you have any questions or requests, please let us know in advance of the hearing so that we can provide you with a smooth experience.
Examples of questions and concerns:
- I would like to avoid self-funded treatment, is it possible to receive treatment using only insurance?
- How long will the treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- Will I feel any pain during the treatment?
Examination of the teeth and cavities by a dentist
After taking x-rays and intra-oral photographs of your teeth, the dentist will make an actual diagnosis of your condition.
You can trust us with your oral health, including the presence and progression of cavities and the condition of your bite.
After the diagnosis is made, we will discuss the patient’s symptoms and needs, as well as other treatment considerations. We will also check for cavities and periodontal disease. Before treatment begins, the dentist will inform you that we will begin treatment. Please be assured that we will not suddenly begin treatment without your permission.
Explaining the results of caries and periodontal disease
The doctor will inform you about the results of the examination and your current condition. The doctor will explain the treatment process and the number of treatments in an easy to understand manner.
Based on the results of the examination, we will provide a detailed explanation of the current situation and any risks associated with treatment.
Depending on the type of treatment, we may take more detailed intra-oral photographs, perform other tests and examinations, and inform you of how to proceed with the treatment. If the treatment is not covered by insurance or if there is a lot to discuss, we may take the time to inform you on another day.
Start of treatment
Reduction of pain and swelling
Once the doctor has made a diagnosis, we will begin treatment to address the cause of your visit.
Once the patient has agreed to the details of the treatment, the full course of treatment will begin.
The type and number of treatments will vary for each individual depending on the oral situation. Few conditions, including cavities and periodontal disease, can be treated in a single day.
Our treatment plan is designed to minimize the number of treatments in order to reduce the burden on the patient’s body and time. We will try to inform you in advance if a certain condition requires a longer period of time.
Counseling and explanation of future treatment plan
After the initial treatment, the doctor will explain the future treatment schedule based on the contents of the medical questionnaire and the initial hearing.
We offer multiple treatment options to meet the patient's needs.
Examples of treatment plans
- Plan 1: A plan that corrects the cause of the patient’s visit and improves all aspects of the patient’s bite and appearance (cavity treatment + orthodontics + teeth whitening, etc.).
- Plan 2: A plan that corrects the cause of your visit, improves your bite and specializes in preventing recurrence (Cavity Treatment + Orthodontics, etc.).
- Plan 3: Treatment covered by insurance
If you are a minor and wish to receive treatment, we ask that you have a parent or guardian present during the explanation of the treatment plan.
Start treatment based on treatment plan
After the second visit, treatment will begin according to the treatment plan. Before each treatment, the doctor will explain the details of the treatment to be performed that day.
We will give you an idea of how long the treatment will take.
The length of treatment may vary depending on the patient’s condition.
Especially in the case of orthodontic treatment, the length of treatment may vary from person to person because the movement of the teeth is different from person to person. The doctor will explain the progress of the treatment on a case-by-case basis.
Please note that when changing from insured treatment to self-pay treatment, the method of dental treatment will also change, and depending on the timing, we may have to withdraw the insurance claim and bill the patient according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.

Spacious and relaxing examination chairs to reduce anxiety and tension
The Ryu Clinic offers a spacious and relaxing examination chair for your comfort. This chair moves smoothly and reduces the client's tension.
Our commitment to "reducing patient stress and strain and keeping it within the patient's tolerance" is reflected in every detail of our consultation and equipment. Our first priority is to make sure our clients leave with a smile on their face.
Cleaning Machines
We use state of the art cleaning equipment. Cleaning and sterilization of instruments and equipment is a very important task in infection prevention. Advanced hot water cleaning with high water pressure and thorough temperature control can significantly reduce the risk of infection.
Extraoral Vacuum
During dental treatment, small droplets of tooth debris, saliva, and blood are dispersed. These droplets can contain bacteria and viruses that can cause infections. Extra-oral vacuums capture the droplets and prevent their spread, thereby preventing nosocomial infections.
Sterilizer
Our sterilizers are designed to completely remove instruments and equipment from bacteria, viruses, and other harmful microorganisms. We employ the world's best sterilizers that can safely sterilize all types of materials.
Clean Water System
The Clean Water System is a water purification system that removes bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, and other impurities to produce clean water. By installing this clean water system in our clinic, we are able to provide a more hygienic clinic environment.
